Alpha Electronics (1991)
Founded in 1991 by Faouzi Louhaidia (the father) as an independent scientific and electronics club. Over three decades, Alpha Electronics achieved tens of awards and first-place trophies across national scientific exhibitions in Algeria, laying a solid foundation for youth innovation.
Institutional Partnership (2023)
In mid-2023, the Director of the Multi-Purpose Youth Center in Ghalousi, Souk Ahras recognized the strong technical enthusiasm of local youth. In collaboration with the Direction de la Jeunesse et des Sports (DJS), an official partnership was formed with club leaders Djaber Louhaidia and Hay Eddine Kelious to establish an active modern youth club.
NeoChip Club (October 2023)
Officially established in late October 2023 to carry forward the proud legacy of Alpha Electronics. Today, NeoChip serves as an active youth technology club, empowering young students and creators through hands-on learning, teamwork, and modern projects.

No prior experience is necessary! NeoChip is built on collaborative learning and mentorship. We guide beginners step-by-step from foundational concepts all the way to advanced robotics, software development, or creative exploration.
Who can join NeoChip, and what is the age range?
NeoChip is open to all ambitious youth—including middle school, high school, university students, and independent young hobbyists passionate about science, engineering, coding, astronomy, or digital arts.
Where and when are club meetings and workshops held?
Our official hands-on workshops and team sessions are held weekly at the Multi-Purpose Youth Center (Complexe Polyvalent de Ghalousi) in Souk Ahras, in partnership with the Direction de la Jeunesse et des Sports (DJS). We also coordinate online sessions and digital collaboration channels throughout the week.
Can I join if my main interest is creative writing, astronomy, or arts?
Yes, absolutely! Our Creativity & Discovery Lab is specially dedicated to astronomy observation, creative writing, DIY electronics, storytelling, and digital media. We believe high-impact engineering requires imagination and artistic vision.
